I was so honoured when Krista came to me to ask me to be the florist for her wedding at Woodhall Manor, Woodbridge, Suffolk. Krista had always championed my flowers and I knew we were on the same page with the natural & seasonal designs from the very beginning. White, cream with a hint of blush was the chosen colour pallet. A September wedding meant an abundance of flowers in the cutting garden to choose from. Dahlias (including those huge Cafe au laits in the bridal bouquet!) Zinnias, Phlox, Statice, Achillea, Cosmos, Grasses, Seed heads, with mint and rosemary for scent and for remembrance.
Table space was needed for serving platters and so we chose simple but elegant bud vases, filled with the most delicate little miniature bouquets to dress the tables.
The moment when I handed Krista her finished bridal bouquet was just so emotional & special. I think we both cried! Its moments like this that us wedding florists live for.
